As part of Year of Young People 2018, Vibrant Communities and the East Ayrshire Sports Council are going to be founding the East Ayrshire Junior Sports Council. The aim of the Junior Sports Council will be to bring together young people from across East Ayrshire who are enthusiastic and have a passion for sport and its development. This will give young people a platform to develop sport in East Ayrshire through working together to decide what they think are the sporting priorities for young people and sports clubs in East Ayrshire. The Junior Sports Council will work very closely with the East Ayrshire Sports Council Executive Committee to influence what they do. To ensure this, one member of the Junior Sports Council will be elected on to the East Ayrshire Sports Council Executive Committee to represent the Junior Sports Council and the young people of East Ayrshire. To achieve this we are looking for young people, aged 12-18 years, who are enthusiastic about sport.
If interested please get in touch as soon as possible by e-mail: michelle@eastayrshirecc.co.uk. Applications close on 16th March. Good luck.

There will be a marshal training day (listed on the SACC website, but just as "South" at present) at Kames on the 3rd September. Although it's listed as a rally and sprint training day, we're expecting it to mainly focus on getting rally marshals certified prior to the Galloway Hills Rally. We are planning on doing the practical parts at Kames circuit and using the caravan park lounge for the classroom sessions etc. We've asked Rupert Hine for a specific sprint training day in the January to March 2017 window, so that we can all complete this before the start of the season.
Please contact Chaz (cmars7167@hotmail.com) for information and if you would like to assist with marshalling or attend the training day.
